Howard's Energy White Paper
On 14th June 2004 John Howard released his Energy White Paper. He is seeking to commit Australia to a future of fossil fuel use and has sacrificed $6 billion of private investment in renewable energy industry by failing to increase the MRET (mandatory renewable energy target).
Has has either cut or refused to fund some of Australia's best renewable energy research, while pouring hundreds of millions of dollars into finding excuses to keep the coal industry going.
There is only one option for people concerned with climate change and Australia's future energy security, and that is to vote the Howard Government out at the next federal election.
